Short version: the only thing this site collects is your email address, if you choose to join the email list. I use it to tell you about the book and the odd update, and I don’t share it.
What I collect
If you enter your email in the “be first to know when the book is out” form, I store that email address. That’s it. I don’t ask for your name, and the site doesn’t use tracking or advertising cookies.
Why, and how it’s used
Your email is used to let you know when the book is released, and to send the occasional honest update from The Honest Colon - new stories, videos and anything useful I think you’d want to know. No spam, no selling of anything unrelated, and I will never pass your email to a third party for their own marketing.
Where it’s stored
Emails are stored securely in a database provided by Supabase, used only by me. The form saves your address directly and nothing else about you is recorded with it.
Unsubscribing and deletion
You can ask to be removed from the list, or have your email deleted entirely, at any time - just reply to any email I send, or email alex@ziaandzuko.com, and I’ll remove it. Every email I send includes an unsubscribe option too.
Who runs this
The Honest Colon is a personal project run by Alex, under Zia & Zuko Ltd. If you have any question about your data, email alex@ziaandzuko.comand I’ll sort it.
This is a plain-English summary of how I handle the small amount of data this site collects. It will be expanded before the book launches.
